BUSY Saturday
We were invited to the Kings swimming party. They have such a nice house with big yard and nice swimming pool. Kids had a blast. They swam most of them, jumped on a trampoline and swung on swings for a little bit. Then swam more and more.
Brandon is in the middle standing
Brandon is on the left from Hannah (the dog) wrapped in a towel
We all had such a good time - kids swimming and playing and me having adult drinks and adult conversation while sitting right at the poolside.
When we came home at 5, we had just a couple of hours until we left to Sunset park to watch fireworks. I thought they were at 9, so we got there around 7.30. We got on the hill, spread our blanket and played card games and ate junk (yes!). We walked to the playground but it was too packed and we came back.
When it was getting dark, we literally did not do anything but snuggled on the blanket, making jokes and teasing each other. I LOVE it! It is such quality time that is worth anything!
One of my favorite parts when Brandon was brushing my hair with his hands. I must say it hurt but I did not make a sound. I loved the whole idea of it :)
Our view - perfect spot!
Being silly. (Brandon has a wet t-shirt :)
When fireworks started, both kids climbed on one of my legs. They both hugged me tight for it was loud. Very pretty, but loud. I really like the one I have never seen before, they shoot and it slowly goes down like rain. Many times it seemed like the firework right above us! So cool!
We could not believe they lasted for whole 30 min. It is a long time!
When we got in the car, it started pouring. We left in the perfect time.
I took off work this day and it was worth every penny I did not get that day.
BLESSED beyond words!

Kyra is with Emma and Carly Stephens and Abbey Foerster
Abbey was supposed to be laying while kids were running around her
At one time, there was an ice-cream call. Brandon made same plate as in Sweet Frog (:) and then came running to me because while eating his ice-cream, he bit his wiggly tooth. Ouch!Brandon is on the left from Hannah (the dog) wrapped in a towel

Modern Comprehension
Kids are learning modern words. They do not understand the word sexy which they heard before, but they do understand other words.
The other day we were talking about going to see BTR and Kyra said something along the lines:
- We are going to see 4 hot guys.
I asked her what that means. She does know. It means very attractive. I can not help but wanting for them to stay so innocent..

Sweet Frog
Yes, it happened! It is open in PA now! Kids were so excited to go there again after we tried it in VA. You can tell which one is which. :) I got Mango flavor with blueberries, strawberries, kiwi and nuts (and just one small poundcake :) . Kids got all the junk... :)
My Parents Married
After 30 years of being married, my parents decided to get married in church. They found a church about 70km away and off they went. Beautiful pictures.
Picking Cherries
Me and Brandon both love cherries. It was time to pick them and Brandon was so excited about eating them and climbing up the tree to get them. Two of us drove to Honey Bear Orchard and picked a few pounds. It was hot, but thank goodness, under those trees breeze was good. Brandon found this one tree where we were able to pick at least half of what we did.
It was also Tara's birthday weekend so Brandon was determined to get her two containers - one sweet and one sour. He was so worried he would forget it the next day they went swimming. My sweet boy. So thoughtful!
Love him!

No Bunk Bed
Not sure why but kids, especially Brandon never really liked that bed that we got for him when he was 5. With bunk and a slide and a ladder.. It was not something he liked. So lately kids started argueing over who will sleep on the top. We ended up taking the bed apart and putting two beds in. Kids are happy.
Playing Outside
Love summer. Just simple things like playing ball, riding bikes, doing chalk.. It is all free and fun. Here me and Kyra were trying to draw animals fromt he book she has that teaches how to draw animals. Brandon took a pic :)

Another Busy Day - HP and Birthday Party
On Friday kids went to HP with their cousins, Aunt T and Uncle G, Pop and Non. Hard to believe they spent there the whole day. All 7 hours. We never went for more than 3 at a time. Last year Kyra wanted to try Super-Dooper-Looper so many times and this year, I guess, she was ready.
She did it 4 times. What a brave girl!
After Hershey park there was birthday party for Brody in Bowling alley. Brandon third highest in number and Kyra was in 1st. Not sure what is up. :) They must be THAT good!

Busy Day - Market, Adventure Sports and Fishing
What a busy week we had! On Thursday when I came home from work we headed to check out Hershey Farmers market. I have to say I was not very impressed. It is all outside and there are just not so much to choose from. May be I am spoiled from other markets :)
From there we headed to Adventure Sports because kids wanted to play in Arcade and I told them earlier they could if they would use their money and tickets we already had. That was easy. It took them 10 min of playing and 5 min of picking the prize and they were done. How easy :)
From there it was time to go fishing with Cub Scouts. The pond was like 5 min away, one of Conewago families owns this huge farm with beautiful land and lots of space. Funny thing, they were not even home, just let us use their property :)
We had different kind of snacks and it was just nice to see everybody, besides fishing, of course :) Jimmy helped Brandon somewhat. He caught 7 sunnies and 1 bass which he was proud to show off :) Kyra got the smallest of all 5", which was pretty cool. Brandon longest was 10", wow!
We were all eaten by mosquitos but it was fun!
Here is this bass
Aha!
Kyra and her smallest cutiest fish. By the way, she did say there should be a prize for the cutiest fish :)
Brandon got prize for 2nd biggest amount caught - 8.

Fun and Learning Stuff
We saw some funny names of the towns/roads, you know I always pay attention to those :)
-Fox Run Rd
-Buttermilk Falls Rd
-Hamburg (do they eat a lot of hamburgers there?)
-Hecktown (do they say "What the heck" a lot?)
And when we were driving, our conversation went like this:
- Oh, Dairy rd. Do you guys know what "dairy" is?
Brandon:
- yes, it is milk, butter, whip cream... (I would never thought of the last one :)
We were passing the car. Brandon:
- Oh, this car is driven by old, old grandma.
Me:
- Well, old grandma have to drive too, right? Like your Nans.
Brandon:
- Well, she is a grandma, but she is not old, old one. Just an old grandma! :)
Seriously? Some stuff is pretty cool! I found it on the map that I got at Bushkills.
- Park was open to public in 1904 and admission was $0.10.
- There are 8 waterfalls and 2.5miles of hiking trails.
- The drop of the Main Waterfall is about 100 feet.
- The entire park is about 300 acres.
- The water (especially in Little Bushkill Creek) often looks brown and foamy. People think it indicate pollution, but that is not the case. This is a natural effect caused by tannin and its' derivative, tannic acid. These compounds are a natural product of oak, hemlock, white pine and other trees. They are dissolved into the stream as the water flows over the roots. The foam is caused by the great turbulence of the stream passing waterfalls, rocks, ledges etc.
- Bushkill Falls does not receive any state of federal funding. Trail improvements and repairs and maintenance are made possible with admission fees.
I was surprised, how many benches there are on the trail. In Russia you would never see it :)
Those are our stones. On the ride home Brandon realized that he had two green rocks so he wanted to trade it. Kyra did not have anything she wanted to trade, so I told him I would when we get home and I would see what I have. I traded his green (top left) for blue that I had couple of. (bottom middle blue kind of stone).
P.S. What he told me was that he would never trade the one I gave him. LOVE HIM TO PIECES!

See the rainbow?????
More of rainbow!
Looking from the very top of the main waterfall
It looks sooooo powerful!
A tree growing outside of the tree!
That how "boring" trail started looking after climbing up
We found a "hidden" waterfall
Pennell Fall. Again, water looks so powerful!
Yes, that is the color water it was. Brandon said it looked like tea :)
Pretty!
A tree with a belly button :)
This big log looked like a beaver. And we also had fun looking at the map on those letter, placed alphabetically and meaning certain location.
Den tree - I never knew what they were. Den trees are huge standing trees used by animals for nesting and cover.
They said the walk we took over blue trail was long. Hmmmm, I did not notice that. Brandon either. Kyra was whining tiny bit until we started walking along the water and she got distracted :)

Going up. We are on red/blue trail now

No, I do not think Brandon was yelling at Kyra :)
Brandon took a pic way before I was ready. Am I looking like I am falling right in???Yes, that is the color water it was. Brandon said it looked like tea :)

I know, looking odd, does not it? No, Bushkills do not have goats :) On the way there we saw the sign Snake and Animal Farm. We stopped there on the way home. They had snakes, alligators, bob cats, monkeys, emu, turtles, bunnies and guinea pigs. Most that kids remembered from there was not many snakes shedding their skins, but petting the bunny and feeding the goats. Yeah... Sigh..
Good times! :)
